Master Lock Speed Dial Hack | The Master Lock Speed Dial combination lock represents a significant advancement over the traditional number dial combination locks. The Master Lock Speed Dial lock is unlocked by making a sequence of up and down, left and proper motions using the circular joystick. It’s similar to the video games of the early 1990s.
Anyone can learn the combination of a Master Lock branded padlock in eight or fewer attempts. The method takes little than two minutes and needs rudimentary technical knowledge to complete. The exploit entails lifting a locked shackle with one hand while using the other to spin the combination dial counterclockwise, beginning at the number 0 starting at the top of the dial.
Before the dial hits the number 11, there will be three places at which it will not allow the dial to be moved any farther. Because it is precisely between two whole numbers on the dial, one of them will be disregarded. Only the last two spots on the map are marked as “locked positions.”
Following that, the attacker raises the locked shackle again, but this time with less effort, rotating the dial clockwise. The dial will become inoperable at some time before it has completed a full rotation of the wheel. It is still possible for a hacker to get through it, but they will feel the resistance.
To unlock the shackle on a Master Lock combination lock, you’ll typically need a sequence of three digits, each ranging from one to forty in value. ” There are 64,000 potential combinations that you would have to go through to brute-force one of these frequently used locks — or at least there were when I tried it. The method provided online by famous hacker Samy Kamkar allows you to reduce the number of potential sequences down to only eight in this case.
Assuming the attacker knows the first and final digits of the lock and the fact that the second digit is one of eight potential values, the hack is a straightforward matter of attempting each conceivable combination until one of them unlocks the lock successfully. A detailed lesson is provided in the following video.
If you want to know what the second number is, you must first relax your firm grasp on the shackle and then spin the dial counterclockwise once again. Once the dial becomes stuck again, repeat the process of checking the range you just completed, and you’ll either get the second number, or you’ll need to spin towards 11 one more time. You’re through with this section of the procedure after obtaining two ranges that are more than one hundred.
We don’t advocate that you do this to anybody else. Still, it’s remarkable how easy the processes are, as we discovered when we attempted it on a Master Lock for ourselves. Finding the third number requires you to pull the locking shackle out half it will go and then round the dial clockwise until it is revealed. After a certain amount of spins, you’ll come with resistance at a specified number. That’s the third digit in your sequence.
In exchange for entering these three numbers into the calculator, you’ll receive the first number in the combination, a handful of possibilities for the second entry in the mix, and the two options that exist for the last number in the variety, as well as the first number in the blend.
If you want to restrict the alternatives down, even more, start with the first option for the third number, take the shackle out all the way, and check how wide of a range the dial can revolve between. Then repeat the same for the second number. Although some teenager believes he has a hack for the Speed Dial, you can check it out below the break. It’s an elegant little lock that reportedly is impossible to hack using a shim (not sure if it is accurate or not, it seems a tad too easy).
