Patrick Mahomes Dad | Patrick Lavon Mahomes Sr is a former professional baseball pitcher from the United States. From 1992 to 2003, he was a member of the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates of the Major League Baseball (MLB) organization. Pat Mahomes Sr. was born on August 9, 1970, in San Antonio, Texas. He used to be a pitcher in Major League Baseball.

A three-sport athlete during his high school years, at Lindale High School in Texas, he competed in football, basketball, and baseball as well as other sports. Following an injury during his junior year of high school, Mahomes Sr did not resume throwing until his senior year.

Pat Mahomes Sr., 50, is a former baseball pitcher who now works in the construction industry. In 2019, Mahomes was honored into the Sioux Falls Canaries Hall of Fame, which he had previously attended. He was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the sixth round of the 1988 Major League Baseball Draft, and he decided to become a pro immediately after high school. He made his Major League debut with the Minnesota Twins in 1992. He had a great career with them, spending five years with them until being moved to the Boston Red Sox in 2007.

After two seasons with the Red Sox, he was released from his contract and returned to his native Canada. Until 2003, he was a member of the New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates, among other teams.

In addition, he played two seasons in Nippon Professional Baseball with the Yokohama Bay Stars, in 1997 and 1998, before retiring. In 2009, he was a member of the Grand Prairie Air Hogs of the independent American Association, where he played baseball.
